6TH GRADE TACKLE:  Bill Neblock

Coach Bill Neblock is joining Westport PAL Football as head coach for our grade 6 team.  Prior to this role, he coached for 7 years in the heart of football country in the Chicago suburb or Oswego, Illinois.  During this time, he developed a team of athletes from 1st through 8th grade, and led them to several conference and division championships and two Super Bowl appearances.  He served his last three years as head coach, with the prior 4 years as offensive coordinator.  He was an early adopter of Heads Up football.  He also served one year on the board of directors as Athletic Director and was an organization coordinator to USA football.  The group of boys he coached are entering their senior seasons this year, many of who are contributing in significant ways to their high school teams and several already have college football scholarship offers.  Coach Neblock recently moved to Westport with his lovely wife Gabriela and two beautiful children.  When he is not coaching, he works as CFO at an advertising agency.  He believes in the value of football as a teaching and bonding tool, and that developing the athlete should be the primary goal.
